I wrote this for a friend of mine in Scotland. I was planning a trip to go visit her, and after realizing how expensive airplane tickets were, i thought and wished that i could just drive or take a train there. which made me think about how that would only be possible if the continents shifted back together. thus: PANGAEA"S REVENGE! it's definitely a silly love song. dulcitar, banjo, acoustic guitar, hand claps, kazoo + 20 tracks of me sounding like a drunk person in the woods singing the chorus. like you do.
lyrics
on a fine summer's day
i went walking down the street
i had just sat down at a table
when you came walking up to me
a chance meeting down on cary
was all that it took
now i'm singing on this mountain
hoping that this breeze will blow
this song to you across the sea
if i could just make the continents collide
if i could spur Pangaea's revenge
maybe then i could go on down this road
and you and i could be together once more
if i could just make the continents collide
if i could spur Pangaea's revenge
maybe then i could go and hop that train
and you and i could be together once again

Amazing Richmond rock band. Big noise with some interesting guitar work, thrown in with a dash of The Cure's dark sensibilities and some reverby haze. Ryan Micklos
