This song started in attempt to get an interesting drum reverb sound. the drums and most of the mics were placed in a fairly dead room, and then another mic was placed in a more lively room next to it, with the door open, in essence creating a live reverb chamber. a big water pump in the chamber kicked in during the last bit of the drum take, which you can hear droning on after the instruments stop.
other than that, this song features layers of dulcitar, hammer dulcimer, bowed psaltery, some bass, and healthy portion of reamped' dulcitar and bass with a bit of fuzz tacked on.
